I Could Help You Write a Story

I can help you write a story
Impressive, is it not?
It might be very difficult
But I will have a shot.

First are the antagonists
The villains of the plot
Way cooler than the hero
And sometimes even hot

I know they're funny people
How they always lose the game
And never seem to win a thing,
Let's start off with their name!!

Something quite original
Is what you shall require
It also must be suitable,
Or your audience may soon tire.

Next is their personality
Something that everyone will need
Crazy, sly, creepy even
This isn't that hard, you see?

Now how about their looks?
Clothes shall range from toe to hat
Please don't just stuff them in a cape
What's so original about that?!

Villains are always cool
And fun to make and play
But bad guys can't have it all
Someone needs to save the day!!

Heroes are the good people
Who always save the dame,
They slay the dragon, defuse the bomb
And of course get all the fame.

Repeat steps one through three
As I discussed before.
Now you have your characters
But still there's even more!!

I could help you write a story
With aliens, guns and stew
We have all the time in the world
Or until whenever it is due

Next up is the setting,
Where the chaos will ensue
Choose how the scene with soon begin
And decide the point of view.

Please no New York, New York
Those stories are getting old
And no more trips to Wonderland
Those tales have all been told.

Think what time this might take place
Present, future, or past.
Your characters better suit the time
Or you better change them fast!!

Maybe on a secluded island
Where the plot will soon unfold
Or even in a spaceship station
The story is yours to mould.

Please don't rip off other artists
As many have thought to do
Copy Right is a serious thing
Or someone might scream "Sue!!"

So now it is time to begin to write
Your ideas soon flood the page
Word from word, stop from start
Now drop your pencil, sage!!

Well, let's see what you have achieved
From all the talent I have taught
Wait…Three hundred words?
A novel can't be that short!!

What's this about a butterfly?
What of all the planning we went through?
This story is completely different!!
So much for our big debut!!
